Message from the Director

It is an honor for me to be part of an organization making a difference in the lives of so many in this great community of Owasso.

For over 14 years, OCR has been blessed with the opportunity to help thousands of people in need. Although, economically, this is a challenging time for our organization we continue to build and improve our programs. It is our mission to help the many families who are struggling to make ends meet. This year, we have continued to see many new faces coming through our doors and seen people evicted from homes or utilities cut off because of a lack of financial resources within the household.

We are proud that our work has become synonymous of our commitment to helping families in need. We are a safety net for families facing economic hardship. We take great pride in the fact that with our small staff and numerous volunteers, our work and dedication has made it possible to reach over 8,000 this past year.

Looking ahead, we are focusing on helping our clients achieve a better quality of life and we want to bring opportunities to them that will create positive changes in their lives. I am incredibly excited about the journey we continue with our new job center and refreshing partnership with the youth in our community. I am also eager to work with an energetic, forward-looking staff dedicated to serving our families at the highest level.

Thank you to our supporters for their passion to helping those in need and giving us the opportunity to continue our work. Like you, I know there are many of us who are proud to be a part of the Owasso Community Resources team.
