Ways to Give

Give Your Time

“We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.”- Mother Theresa

Volunteering takes time energy and sometimes money. While it can be hard work, it also allows an individual to discover some hidden talents, strengths, or passions. Volunteering is not only beneficial for the one receiving the service but also cultivates a sense of fulfillment that always follows a giving spirit.

Owasso Community Resources depends heavily on the support from volunteers. The volunteer program at OCR allows individuals and groups ages 12 and up to experience a sense of community by directly giving back to families in need. Whether it be students earning service hour credits, seniors or retirees wanting to devote time to a great cause, a company that wants to support local needs, or an individual just wanting to give back there are many benefits to volunteering with OCR. Such benefits may include, fulfilling needs within our community, educating others about the importance of volunteering, discovering social needs that our community struggles with that you may be unaware of, or even gaining a reference for a job or school.
